Roger Ketterman and Charles Donaldson

By request , coming back to Alpha Omega Café on March 12, Roger Ketterman and Charles Donaldson are again teaming up to give you a variety of music about our Lord and Savior.  Praising and uplifting Jesus is the reason both of these men love to worship by using the gift of music.  They have worked separately and together for many years and are best of friends.  They mix new and old songs to give everyone a song that will touch their life.

Roger Ketterman, when he is not working as a skilled carpenter with his own business, enjoys being with his family and especially his grandchildren.  But Roger enjoys sitting at the piano and composing many meaningful pieces of music about his Lord and ways the Lord has worked in lives around him.  Roger can play a number of instruments, but he enjoys playing the piano and singing the most.  Roger voice is a tenor range.  Roger has many uplifting messages in song of different styles.  This is the way Roger loves to share Jesus with others.   Roger thanks the management at the Café for giving him an opportunity to share this love of his in personal songs that he wrote about Jesus to others.

Charles Donaldson has just retired from working at Tropicana for almost 40 years.  Charles enjoys taking his old Jeep offroading and playing softball.  But if his wife wants to find him, Charles can be usually found in his converted bedroom to a music room.  Charles loves to do Country Gospel, Southern Gospel, and old Gospel Hymns.  Charles plays guitar, bass guitar, banjar, and trumpet.   Charles has a voice with a wide vocal range, but loves to take a song way down low.  Charles loves to sing fun songs about our Lord because he believes Christians can have fun too.  But there are other songs to bring tears to your eyes about things that happen in our daily lives that only Jesus can carry us through.  Plus good old hymns with the sweet sound of the trumpet that you can sing along and worship yourself as you enjoy the food.

Roger and Charles will work as a team to uplift some music to touch your life.  Come let Melinde and Michael serve you the great food and relax as you enjoy refreshment to your body and soul.

Jak Kelly (6:30 pm to 9:00pm)

About Jak Kelly:
To pigeon hole Jak Kelly as a Folksinger May be the ultimate misnomer. Yes , He does perform with an acoustic guitar, Which he plays with all the skill of a master. His vocals may remind you of the likes of maybe Gordon Lightfoot, Cat Stevens or James Taylor, but his style is all his own. Each of Jak Kelly’s songs are a polished gem. Sometimes reflections of a complex inner soul, yet sometimes a juxtaposed comment on the world around each of us. To experience Jak Kelly in concert is a roller coaster ride of the joys, and foibles in all our lives. You will laugh. You will cry. You will look around you and discover that everyone is feeling the same as you.... Better for the experience! Yes, to pigeon hole Jak Kelly as a Folksinger May be the ultimate misnomer. Jak Kelly is purely and simply an Entertainer.

Bill & Eli Perras (6:30pm - 9:00pm)

billandeli.jpg

The many inspired lyrics given to and interpreted by Eli, combined with Bill's expertise bluesy finger-style guitar playing create a very uniquely modern take on true Americana music in its purest form. Receiving much recognition for their tightly woven musical creativity, they humbly remain true to their personal values. They speak out with strong heartfelt lyrics accompanied by soulful genuine pentatonic rhythms against social injustices, corporate greed, and daily follies in everyday life. They can grip your heart, search your soul, change a mindset, or softly strike a funny bone, all the while leaving the audience with a sentiment for the common good we desire in all mankind.
Bill & Eli have opened for Bill Staines, John Gorka, Jack Williams, Anne Feeney, Scott Ainslie, Small Potatoes, Emma's Revolution, Paul Geremia and many more nationally recognized entertainers. They are regulars at the many Florida folk music venues and festivals and frequently travel the country sharing their music beyond the Sunshine State.
"Bill & Eli Perras' latest CD "Runnin' Outta' Georgia" is a collection of topical songs that point to the social issues that frustrate us every day, from corporate injustice to the homeless, from political inaction to stereo-types, and prejudice. Each song thoughtfully brings the human condition to light and most offer a silver lining, the possibility of change if we get off our butts and reach out to each other.  Hopefully their "blues" will get us". --- SingOut!
